Things to do

One of Oualidia's attractions is the sheer number of activities on offer. The shallow lagoon is ideal for swimming, paddle boarding, surfing and kayaking. There are five sandy beaches (the best is a two-minute boat trip away) while the dunes to the south are perfect for horse-riding and quad biking.

You can take a boat trip to the pirate caves, ruined palace or salt pans at the northern end of the lagoon. Take binoculars (supplied at the villa) with you. Oualidia lies on a north-south migration route and you'll spot waders, shore birds and flamingos, if you're lucky.

Keen walkers should head for the deserted coves of the Atlantic coast or north along the lagoon where the silence is broken only by the cries of curlews and the distant crash of surf. Further afield, we can organise half-day or full-day excursions to Safi or El Jadida.

Many of our visitors prefer to relax all day at the villa. Our on-call masseuse Fatim-Zahra will provide massages and manicures, while local instructor Abdel-Ali offers sunset yoga and keep-fit classes. There's table tennis, boules and zip-wire in the garden. And for evening entertainment you'll find board games, books, smart TV and superfast broadband.
